Finality of Prophethood

Allah has created many creatures; they slowly and gradually reach a pinnacle point same is the case of prophethood. The prophethood and all the messengers also come to this point. The Prophethood began with Hazrat Adam A.S. and reached its culmination point. This high point was not reached until the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was sent down as a Nabi. Muhammad ﷺ was sent as the last Nabi and a seal to prophethood shows the completion of the Nabuwat. The Prophet of the earlier times bought the code and conducts but those codes did not cover all the characteristics of their people’s social and personal life. Like if we see the life of Prophet Essa A.S. he did not marry and live a life of celibacy. So there was no example of marriage life for the people of Hazrat Essa A.S. If we see the life of Hazrat Suleman A.S. he lived a kingly life. A poor person cannot find any practice or example from his life about the poor condition of living. Moreover, all the other religions consider politics and religion as a separate aspect. Each one should be dealt with and practiced differently. So, consider all the previous religions as incomplete. After all this people can argue about the complete code of life to live. So Allah sent down His last Prophet, Muhammad ﷺ who has demonstrated a broad spectrum of the social, political, personal, and economic aspects of life. With a complete code of life in the form of the Holy Quran.

Holy Quran in this regard says surah maidah ayat 3

ٱلْيَوْمَ أَكْمَلْتُ لَكُمْ دِينَكُمْ وَأَتْمَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ نِعْمَتِى

Today I have completed your religion for you and completed my blessings on you.

This ayah reflects that there is no need for further demonstration or more guidance Allah has sent everything that could be necessary for the people to live their life. In the earlier time, the Prophet was sent one after the other, successor continue the message of the formal Prophet with some more upgrades and more messages to follow. Sometimes Allah prohibits some things which were allowed in the past. Like there was no prohibition on the number of the marriage contract for men but with time it’s now restricted to only four wives. While some of the Prophets come with entirely new ways of keeping the message of Islam the same like Hazrat Moosa A.S revive and renewed the message of the predecessor. In this way, the religion was carried forward till the last messenger of Allah. Who completed every aspect of life.

In one of the hadith of the prophet Muhammad ﷺ he says that “I have been sent to complete the moral codes” This show that there is no further need for any messenger after the prophet Muhammad ﷺ. formerly prophets were sent to a prescribed group of people. The advent of Islam brings the whole world without any discrimination on grounds of color caste ethnicity, tribe region country language, or expression. The message of Islam is valid till the Day of Judgment for all the people and there would be no any need of any prophet after the prophet Muhammad ﷺ that is why the Quran says about the prophet Muhammad ﷺ

قُلْ يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ إِنِّى رَسُولُ ٱللَّهِ إِلَيْكُمْ جَمِيعًا                                                      

Say, ˹O Prophet, ˺ “O humanity! I am Allah’s Messenger to you all.

So, if any person accepts any other person as a prophet after the prophet Muhammad ﷺ he violates the rules of religion and could risk the Emaan if not return quickly he become considered a hypocrite.
